NICET CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD) and CERTIFICATION CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS
You can receive NICET Recertification CPD and/or Continuing Education Units (for re-certification) by attending CAFAA meetings, events or training, or simply being a member of CAFAA.
NICET requires 90 CPD points every three years. per certification CAFAA members & participants can claim points in two of the categories: Advance Profession and Additional Education.
- Professional Society Activity (involvement with organizations that unify individuals in a career area and promote technical knowledge and pertinent practice area techniques).
- 1 year of society membership—1 CPD point per society per year (12 pts. maximum). Click here to Join CAFAA.

- Education Sessions related to NICET specialty — 1 point per hour of instruction. Go to www.cafaa.com and click on CAFAA WEB BASED or CLASSROOM training for more information.
Presenters can also claim points.
CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS (CEU) FOR RE-CERTIFICATION: to convert CAFAA’s Continuing Education Hours (CEHs) to CEUs):
CAFAA will provide you with a Certificate which documents the number of CAFAA training, conference and/or meeting hours you attended. You can then request the WBFAA to convert the CAFAA CEHs to CEUs for the purpose of Recertification. Click here for the WBFAA form.
