WHAT: Participate in Q&A Roundtable discussions with your local AHJ.

For the past 23 years, the California Automatic Fire Alarm Association (CAFAA) has hosted an event (the State Agency meeting) in Sacramento, where representatives from the California State Fire Marshal’s Office, Division of the State Architect, Division of Occupational Safety and Health Planning & Development and the Building Standards Commission are invited to meet with some of their stakeholders.   This group includes CAFAA members, Manufacturer’s and AHJs.

The purpose of the State Agency meeting is to continue the open dialogue between the code enforcers, code promulgators and fire alarm system professionals on issues of mutual concern so that we may better serve the citizens of California.

CAFAA would like to extend this concept to the practical level; that is, to have more focused discussions between the Code Enforcers (the AHJs) and the fire alarm system professional on the job in specific areas of California. We will host an ‘AHJ Q&A ROUNDTABLE’ meeting in Irvine, CA:

Thursday, June 06,2019
9:30am – 12:00pm CAFAA General Meeting
12:00pm – 1:00pm  Lunch
1:00pm – 5:00pm    AHJ Q&A Roundtable Meeting

The Atrium Hotel
18700 MacArthur Blvd. Irvine, CA 92612
$5 daily parking fee – shuttle to/from SNA

To pay the $35 meeting fee, click the button below to pay with your credit card as a guest on PayPal (or call CAFAA with your credit card)

The process used at the State Agency meetings, and one which we are extending to the ‘AHJ Q&A Roundtables’ is to have you submit your discussion questions in advance of  the meeting.

The submitted questions will be distributed to everyone (i.e. to the Roundtable AHJs and to all the attendees, prior to the meeting. This has proven to have a positive effect on the discussions at the meeting because the experts are prepared with their best responses and also the other attendees will have given the topics some thought as well.
